I have had 2 major surgeries, and will be recovering till the ride so attending is out of the question.I have been advised to rest the old body and brain to relieve stress and heal quicker. So I will not be there with you this year. Go to the archives of rides from past years to get routes. Backroads touring, rideforum,net, and rideok.net will have info you can use.  Motel is the same Americas Best, Eureka Springs Arkansas. I'm sorry things have worked out this way, but thank God I'm still alive. Planning a new route each year was a labor of love, and I miss doing it.

Hopefully. if answers are needed, one or more of you can respond to them. I will not be responding to people about the ride. Rest is a high priority for me.

Rode it with the kids, one on 4-wheeler, one on Honda CRF100 a few months ago. Kids loved it, I thought it was pretty easy but did not get to do the most difficult parts because of who I was with. We had a good time, though except for Subway in the Mena Wal-Mart gave me food poisoning and was sick all night. Sick in a campground is not the best experience.
We then went to Jack Creek/Knoppers Ford. I like it much better than Wolf Pen Gap. Narrower trails less people, free camping, better riding.

I started an upcoming ride event on this website. Last weekend in march is the date. It took some searching to find the date online. 1993 BMW GSPD with just over 62,000 miles on the clock. This bike has served me very well over the last few years, but I haven't ridden dirt or gravel in over two years so I'm looking for something more along the lines of a ST1100/1300.   Bike has Touratech hand gurards and lighter springs on the carbs installed for better throttle response. I just changed the fork seals and upped the oil weight to eliminate some of the bad brake dive. She got a new starter about two years ago. Continental Trail Atack tires with about 5000 miles on them and I would expect at least that much more out of the rear and double that on the front. It comes with a dual corbin seat and a Travelcade solo seat along with the rear rack extension. I put on rox risers bar risers right after I got it for better ergonomics.

Extras


    Spare clutch cable that's already been routed on the bike for quick repair just in case.
    Touratech oil cooler bypass hose, for an in case of emergency road side repair.
    A used fully functional spare oil cooler.
    BMW clock
    Spare air filter
    Spare left side engine guard
    Spare kickstand.
    Set of TKC 80 tires. The rear probably has one or two rides left in the front is good for a few thousand more miles.
    2 #25 idle jet screws
    2 #45 idle jet screws
    2 oil filter cover gaskets
    Extra windshield mount parts
    Handful of plastic screw covers that go over screw heads on body work.
    Bag full of crush washers and o-rings
    Spare fairing grommets
    Extra fairing support mount
    2 seat of stock hand guards
    Valve cover gasket
    Oil sump gasket
    Carb gasket
    Carb diaphragm
    Extra right hand mirror. The one on the bike is not 100% so this one should probably go on.
    Spare used ignition unit
    New BMW plug wires
    New BMW speedo cable
    2 new BMW spark plugs
    Extra valve stem
    One piaa driving with Aeroflo cover light not hooked up. Has broken mount.
    Spare turn signal housing
    Set of spare roo bar bumpers



She leaks a little oil, but nothing real bad. I usually top her off with 1/4-1/2 quart every 1000 miles or so.
Rip on driver portion of Corbin seat.
broken stalk on left rear turn signal. It's been zip tied in place for three years.
Missing the rubber on one passenger peg.

A very clean bike just like this recently sold for $6000, since mine leaks a little oil and I want to make a quick deal I'm only asking $5000 for the bike plus all the extras. Very interested in trades if you have an ST or BMW RT. I will consider an FJR and maybe a Concourse, but I'm really after an ST. The bike has a Givi trunk on it now, but I'll need to keep that unless you want to trade a bike that comes with a trunk.

Rode through a hurricane on this trip to OKC. Cars were literally floating off 35 on the way up. I do have the body work by the exhaust headers that's not in any of the other pictures. It's off a turquoise and has been painted white. There are some paint chips on it.
